October program/workshop — For any of you who can imagine all the way to Fall, we have a national level speaker/workshop leader coming. Laura Berlage (https://erindaletapestrystudio.com/), known for her tapestry weaving, embroidery, and approach to design , will be with us by zoom. She will speak on Scandinavian symbolism in folk art and offer a workshop on how to tell a story in your textile’s imagery. The workshop will have three sessions on Thursday nights from 6-8: October 29, November 5, and November 12. There is work to do between sessions. Cathy Manduca has taken 2 of her zoom workshops in the past and really enjoyed them — particularly if she saved time doing the homework.

In this workshop (Laura’s personal favorite wheelhouse), we’ll deep dive into exactly that, taking your designing skills to a whole new dimension. You already know Laura loves to tell stories, now get an insider’s view into the many ways narrative can be woven in imagery. Cost is $50.
