Days of Yesteryear

The History Center along with The Mechanical History Roundtable will be hosting “The Days of Yesteryear” on Saturday & Sunday, August 8 & 9, 2026 from 9am to 5pm each day. The spinners have been invited to gather there each day and demonstrate spinning and knitting. Other crafters are invited to participate also.  Think of crafts that maybe grandma or earlier would have done. This would include many fiber arts.  Bring you craft and lawn chair and join others.  Such as hand quilting, weaving, needlework etc. We meet in front of the Dee cabin.  If you haven’t been to this celebration this is when the oats is threshed and baled. The Roosters, a 1860’s baseball team plays.   Also, the sawmill is active with cutting of logs.  Included in other activities: broom maker, tin smith, old school house with teachers etc.   It is a fun event for the whole family.  Tickets are $8. but a button will be given to the demonstrators beforehand for free entry.  Contact Carolyn Barsness
