Weaver’s Focus Group at Lori Feltis Studio
On September 11th several members of the Weaving Focus Group met at Lori Feltis studio/ shed near Stewartville. As you can tell from the pictures they have a great time and learned a lot! Notice the treadle adaption for Sandy- blocks of wood so her large shoes she wears can fit to press them!
Weaving at the State Fair
The Weavers Guild of MN invited ZRFAG to demo at the MN State Fair in recognition of their 50th Anniversary. Four members did the 1st shift from 9:30 – 12:00. Spinners Demo at the History Center
The Spinners Focus Group spent Saturday afternoon (August 8th) at the History Center demonstrating various spinning wheels and giving lots of information on how yarn is made. The new display features different tools and spinning wheels and a large variety of yarns that different types of wool will give. This is a “must see” display! Dyeing Focus Group at the History Center
This month the Dyeing Focus group exhibit is live at the History Center. Saturday 7/19/25 the focus group hosted a hands-on event for the public. Indigo Dye Day at the History Center welcomed 40 participants. Adults and children alike were excited and had fun awaiting their project. It was such a fun day!
Knitting at the History Center
The Zumbro River Fiber Arts Guild held a knitting demonstration day at the History Center of Olmsted County with a refreshed exhibit focusing on knitting on Saturday June 14th.
