Recently the Surface Design and Dye Focus Group meet for a couple of sessions to rust some fabric and then over dye with indigo. I heard they had lots of fun!

Paris Morthorpe teaches Crewel Embroidery Class
A dozen members got a chance to work with Paris Morthorpe to learn about Crewel Embroidery. Paris has received diplomas from the The Royal School of Needlework in London, where she studied. Paris to create a traditional Crewelwork ’Spring Tulip’ that she designed. Students used linen and crewel wool to make the project.
Members take in a Quilt Show in Dundas

Weavers Focus Group Visits Stillwater
The Weavers Focus Group did a road trip to see a show called Art Reach in Stillwater. This was a Small Expressions traveling exhibit put on by the Handweavers Guild of America. ZRFAG Members attend Fiber Mill Class in Nome, ND

The Weavers Guild of MN invited ZRFAG to demo at the MN State Fair in recognition of their 50th Anniversary. Four members did the 1st shift from 9:30 – 12:00.
