At our June meeting Char Wenger gave a Quilt of Valor Presentation to Colonel Miriam Krieger, daughter of member Marcia Krieger. Surface Design Focus Group Rust and Dye
Recently the Surface Design and Dye Focus Group meet for a couple of sessions to rust some fabric and then over dye with indigo. I heard they had lots of fun!
Paris Morthorpe teaches Crewel Embroidery Class
A dozen members got a chance to work with Paris Morthorpe to learn about Crewel Embroidery. Paris has received diplomas from the The Royal School of Needlework in London, where she studied. Paris to create a traditional Crewelwork ’Spring Tulip’ that she designed. Students used linen and crewel wool to make the project.
Members take in a Quilt Show in Dundas
Recently several members attended the quilt show hosted by the Northfield Quilters in Dundas, MN. The Little Prairie Methodist Church was a delightful setting for this. Weavers Focus Group Visits Stillwater
The Weavers Focus Group did a road trip to see a show called Art Reach in Stillwater. This was a Small Expressions traveling exhibit put on by the Handweavers Guild of America.
